Mountaineers Adventure Club - Olympia

Mountaineers Adventure Club (MAC) is a year-round course, focused on teaching climbing and backcountry skills to teens age 13-18. Teens meet monthly to plan trips and practice skills, and then we head outdoors for 1 weekend trip per month. Teens have the opportunity to choose and plan their own trips, and decide their goals for the year. We will plan out the year's worth of trips at the first meeting in October. Activities include mountaineering, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, hiking and backpacking, snowshoeing, snow camping, cycling, and more. 

Members are not required to have any prior experience before joining - we will teach the skills necessary to participate.  The Mountaineers can provide most gear needed to participate in these activities.

The participation cost is $600 or $150 per quarter for the whole year.
