Cross-country Ski - Rendezvous Trails

Purchase your weekend ski pass in Winthrop on Thursday.  We will meet up at the Winthrop Town Trail Head  at 8:30 a.m. Friday and carpool out to Gunn Ranch Trail Head.  From there we will ski uphill 5km to the Rendezvous Trails System to various trails. 

Somewhere around noon we will take our packed lunch and eat inside one of  the available warming huts before continuing our ski. We will ski a variety of trails in the system before descending back  to Gunn Ranch Trail Head to the car.

Leader Permission Required to register due to N3 and N4 required ski skills. Please email me your past ski experiences at this ski level, and let me know of your fitness ability to handle a long, challenging ski.

Ski Difficulty:  Intermediate/Advanced

The Rendezvous Trail System sits above Winthrop and is composed of both intermediate and advanced trails. We are classic skiing approximately 5+ hours, covering about 10 to 11 miles at a moderate pace and going up and down a lot of steep hills with curves. We will go a little slower up the hills, but keep a steady continuous pace on the more level trails.

Skier Skills Needed:  Intermediate N3 and N4 Ski Skills .
