Day Hike - Rattlesnake First Ledge

Very slow hike with frequent stops for those of us who find elevation gain difficult.

  • Moderate
  • Easy
  • Mileage: 4.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,160 ft
  • Pace: 1 mph or slower with frequent stops

Meet at the Green Lake Park & Ride (65th St.) at 6:30am. We want to get to the trailhead early, before the parking lot fills and there are too many people on the trail. We will depart at 6:40am, carpooling to the trailhead.

I can take up to three people in my car. For this particular trip, round trip will be $20 divided by number of people in the car. Please have small bills if you plan to ride with me.

Other drivers - negotiate ride fee with whomever wishes to ride with you.

This is a very slow-paced hike with frequent stops for those who struggle with elevation gain, but still want to get a good view.

We will take our time to get to the ledge where we will relax, have a snack, take photos, then hike back to the trailhead.

Optional: Lunch at Triple XXX in Issaquah after the hike.
