Adventure Wellness Weekend at Meany Lodge: June 5-7

The Mountaineers would like to welcome you to our first annual Adventure Wellness Weekend! Sponsored by the Foothills Branch Trail Running Committee and located at Meany Lodge, the weekend hosts a multitude of activities designed to allow participants to experience nature in a new way. You can forage for wild plants to eat or grow at home, hike at night, try yoga in natural settings, and more!

Held from the evening of June 5 through the afternoon of June 7, participants can elect to stay at Meany Lodge for a full weekend or just a single day. As with all Mountaineers lodge trips, meals are included and participants should bring their own bedding. (Are you new to Meany Lodge? Read this!)

Throughout the weekend yoga classes will be taught by local experts. Beginners, athletes, and experienced yogis alike will find a session suited for their interest and skill.

No Mountaineers weekend excursion would be complete without a hike, so consider racking up some miles with a day hike along the Pacific Crest Trail. Or get out of the sun and experience the dark, starry sky on an evening hike departing from Meany Lodge.

Of course, this weekend is hosted by the Trail Running Committee, so there are plenty of opportunities for running throughout the weekend. Group trail runs for every ability and experience will be offered; from low-intensity runs in the front-country to high-intensity trips off the beaten path, there's something for everyone!

While most trail runs have a defined destination, ‘Point B’ could be anywhere when you're foraging for dinner. Join us on a trail run or hike as we forage for edible plants and then cook them back at the lodge. Look for these and other options on our events page.

Feeling tired yet? We even have events for that! Relax in the lodge with new friends while you swap stories or watch a movie. If you're interested in active recovery, roll into a stretch/release seminar or take a yoga for relaxation and recovery session.
