Details
There are various bathrooms on route at the backpacking sites.
We will be doing a traverse that requires us to setup a car shuttle. We'll start from the Summerland trailhead, pass through Summerland and Pan Handle Gap, continue on to India Bar (last major water stop), then proceed through the Cowlitz Divide to either Cowlitz or Box Canyon Trailhead.
The uphill will be a combination of fast hiking and slow running depending on how steep it is.
If we exit at Cowlitz, there is an extra mile of running. If we exit at Box Canyon, there is an extra 17min of driving back to Summerland (x2 with the shuttle setup). There should not be construction blocking Box Canyon since it is a weekend, but we'll keep an eye on that.

Risks
- Not a lot of exit points past Panhandle Gap
- Some gnarly stream crossings, especially in panhandle gap. This is why we're starting from Summerland so we can cross early.
- There might be snow
Time: TBD
Location: Summerland Trailhead
A National Park Pass or fee is required to enter the park.
Someone will need to help set up a car shuttle in the morning.
There is a chill Friday (7/28) evening Skyline Loop run posted for interested parties. Leadership can try to coordinate accommodations for Friday -> Saturday if it makes sense, but that isn't guaranteed.
