First Aid Course

Wilderness First Aid (WFA)

Spring Olympia Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course offered by Base Medical. Olympia Basic Climbing and Alpine Scrambling students offered first preference. Leader permission required

The Mountaineers is partnering with Base Medical to offer a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course.  This iteration of WFA is an in person hybrid course consisting of approximately 8 hours of online work including an online final exam.  The online course work must be completed prior to the in person practical session.  The final exam must be completed and passed with a score of 80% or higher within seven days of completing the practical portion of the course.  Because of the 3rd party partnership, there can be no refunds for canceling students once the online registration is sent out- roughly 3 weeks before the in person class work.  Covid Badge required.

COURSE DETAILS

  • You will receive an email with a link to the online course work on March 11. Online course work must be complete prior to the practical session on April 1.  Once students accept the link, refunds cannot be issued.
  • The in person practical session of this course will be held [TBA] from 8 AM to 5 PM on April 1.  More information about the practical course will be sent via email closer to the course date.
