Tacoma Mini Mountaineers Ages 2–5

Tacoma Mini Mountaineers Ages 2–5

A community of families inspiring the future stewards of our planet through nature-based activities and hikes.

family-Driven, staff-supported

Mini Mountaineers is designed to get kiddos ages 2–5 and an accompanying adult interacting with nature together, fostering a love for the outdoors in the next generation. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, friends...let us do the planning to get you and your little one outside together with fellow outdoorsy families!

Typical Outings

Activities: Nature Walks, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Snow Play, Camping, and more!

How do outings work?

We plan a variety of activities!

Tacoma Mini Mountaineers generally hosts 1-2 weekend trips per month:

  • A local nature hike at Pt. Defiance, where we listen for birds,  play in the sand, look for bugs, climb trees...and enjoy being surrounded by nature!
  • An adventure activity, such as climbing night at the Program Center climbing wall, short hikes in the mountains, snowshoe outings and snow play, and more! All activities will be planned with little legs in mind!

HOW DO I GET MY KIDS INVOLVED?

To get involved, first you'll need to sign up for a  Family Membership with us. Once you have created your new account, add your kids to your account by clicking on the "Membership" tab and adding a family member. If you still have questions, here is the FAQ on that process.
