  • Bookstore: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Visit our Bookstore page for extended hours during special events.
  • Our office and bookstore are closed for the holidays in 2022:
    Jan 17, Feb 21, May 30, Jul 4, Sep 5, Nov 25-26, Dec 23-26, and Jan 2.
  • We are closed every other Thursday from 1-2 pm for staff meetings. If you plan to visit during this time, please give us a call in advance to make sure we'll be open.
  • We are closed on one Tuesday per month for staff equity caucus meetings. The next Tuesday closure will be on October 17th from 1-2pm.

The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center is located within Seattle's Magnuson Park, in the Sand Point neighborhood, on the western shores of Lake Washington and minutes from the University of Washington.

From I-5
Method 1: Exit at NE 65th St and head east on NE 65th. Continue on 65th until you reach the stop light at Sand Point Way NE. Turn left. Proceed north until you reach the main entrance to Magnuson Park on your right. This is approximately NE 74th and has a stop light. Turn right, into the park. As you enter Magnuson park at the 74th NE entrance, you will pass a vacant guard station. Proceed past the guard station and take another left at 63rd ave NE and proceed for about 500 yards until you take another left at NE 77th Street. Follow 77th until you reach a stop sign, take a left at the stop sign and you'll be in front of the Mountaineers Program Center.

Method 2: From Highway 520, exit at Montlake Blvd. Turn north (right if you came from the east, left if you came from the west). Follow Montlake Blvd. north. After you pass Husky Stadium and the UW athletic fields, it curves to the right and becomes NE 45th St. A short while later, it curves to the left and becomes Sand Point Way NE. Continue almost two miles until you reach the main entrance to Magnuson Park, roughly at 74th NE, on your right. As you enter Magnuson park at the 74th NE entrance, you will pass a vacant guard station. Proceed past the guard station and take another left at 63rd ave NE and proceed for about 500 yards until you take another left at NE 77th Street. Follow 77th until you reach a stop sign, take a left at the stop sign and you'll be in front of the Mountaineers Program Center.

Bus Information
There are two buses that come by Magnuson Park - No.'s 62 and 75. Both buses stop just in front of our building. To plan a trip to our building, use Metro's Trip Planner.

Walking/Cycling
Magnuson Park is located near the Burke-Gilman Trail, a walk/bike path that covers 14 miles from Seattle's Fremont neighborhood to Kirkland's Tracy Owen Station. We encourage our members and the general public to take advantage of this spectacular trail. For more information and maps, visit the King County Parks Burke Gilman Trail website. You can reach our building by leaving the trail at NE 77th St. and heading east.

The Tacoma Program Center is at the corner of North 30th & Carr Street, in Tacoma’s Old Town Business District above Commencement Bay.

From I-5: Take Exit 133, signed I-705 & City Center Exit, near the Tacoma Dome. Driving north on Highway I-705, in about half a mile take a right onto Schuster Parkway. Stay in the right lane on Schuster Parkway for about two miles. When the road splits, take the North 30th Street exit (not Ruston Way), following the road to the right under the overpass. You will be on North 30th Street and will cross McCarver Street at the stoplight. The next cross street is North Carr Street. The Mountaineers Tacoma Program Center will be on your left just across North Carr Street.

From SR-16: After crossing the Narrows Bridge into Tacoma, take the second exit onto North Pearl Street, driving north on North Pearl Street to North 30th Street. Turn right (east) and follow North 30th Street through north Tacoma, down the North 30th Street hill to the bottom. The Mountaineers Tacoma Program Center will be on your right, at the corner of North 30th & North Carr Streets.

Parking: Parking is available in a public lot on North 30th at North Carr Streets, on North 30th Street and on side streets.
