Join *the mountaineers*

You are joining a community built around passion for the outdoors. For over 100 years, we've been sharing adventure, teaching skills, and conserving land. Discover the outdoor experience with us!

People join The Mountaineers to explore nature, learn new skills, and make outdoor connections and lifelong friends. Join our community today to connect with your passion, whether it's hiking or kayaking, sailing or climbing, scrambling or backpacking, and more. Members also enjoy benefits like discounts on Mountaineers Books, courses, events, gear, and travel.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% of your dues and donations are tax-deductible and may be matched by your employer's workplace giving program. Your financial support makes our conservation and youth education work possible, and funds our robust scholarship program. We have scholarships available and believe everyone should have the opportunity to connect with the outdoors regardless of means. We also support military families, seniors with dependents, and non-traditional families. Contact our member services team for more information on scholarships or to inquire about membership options not listed below. For next steps and new member events, check out our getting started guide.
