ABOUT THE AWARD
During Black History Month in February, Seattle Urban Walkers walk four nights of East to West to East loop transects of the Central District to explore the history and current impacts of restrictive racial and religious property covenants. The Black History Redline badge recognizes impacts of restrictive covenants in Seattle and the nation during the 20th century.
HOW TO OBTAIN
Participate in all four urban walk transects of the Central District. Explore the University of Washington research center and other redlining resources. Pass the activity quiz.
