The holder of this badge is enrolled as a student in the Conditioning Hiking Series program.

DESCRIPTION OF SKILLS

The holder of this badge is currently enrolled in our Conditioning Hiking Series Course, and is in the process of completing its requirements. 

Graduation requirements can vary by branch, but generally include successful completion of a series of day hikes in spring and summer with gradually increasing distance and elevation gain, a day of trail maintenance or similar activity that awards the Stewardship Credit badge, and successful completion of the Low Impact Recreation eLearning Course. 

WHAT DOES THIS BADGE ALLOW ME TO DO?

Course administrators, trip leaders and other volunteers will look for this badge to confirm that a member is currently enrolled in the Conditioning Hiking Series Course. Upon successful completion of the course, the Student badge will be removed and replaced by the Conditioning Hiking Series Graduate badge.

HOW DO I GET THIS BADGE?

COURSES

The badge will appear on the student’s member profile soon after successfully registering for the Conditioning Hiking Series Course. No further action is required by the student.  

EQUIVALENCY

This badge can be obtained only by registering in the Conditioning Hiking Series Course.
