The Tahoma First Peak and Second Peak awards are earned by summiting part of a collection of 32 peaks on the southern slopes and foothills of Mount Rainier. They are divided into eight groups. You must complete three peaks in any group to claim that group. Most routes are scrambles or hikes.

Complete at least three peaks in any of the four groups for the First Peak pin and badge and at least three peaks in all eight groups for Second Peak pin and badge.

How to Obtain

Complete all of the peaks while a current member of The Mountaineers. The trips must be made in accordance with the Climbing Code. The trips can be private trips and with non-Mountaineers team members.
