We will have a brief demonstration of wet exits and rescues before splitting into our groups to optimize our time in the pool. Students should dress to remain in the pool for the full 2 hours. Students will need to complete a 1 lap swim test prior to instruction.
The pool day will be split into 2 two hour sessions. We have the pool from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Students will be assigned to a pool session during the classroom session on April 11, 2026. Please be dressed and ready to begin at the start time of your session. The early session students should help move boats into the pool, and the late session students should help move boats out of the pool.
Boats and safety equipment will be provided.

Required Equipment
Kayaks, PFD's, paddles, and sprayskirts will be provided.
Dress modestly, you will be scrambling into boats. Watershoes are encouraged. Noseplugs or a swim mask is also encouraged. If you have a shortie wetsuit you may wear it, but don't buy one specifically for the class.
