We'll cover many topics including sea kayaking equipment and clothing essentials, cold water safety and an intro to tides, currents, wind and chart reading. The afternoon will mostly focus on a trip planning exercise, and concludes with a discussion of the remaining course activities and requirements.
Location: Tacoma Mountaineers Program Center, 2302 N 30th St., Tacoma. We'll meet on the main floor in the Great Hall.
Registration begins at 8am. Please arrive 8-8:15am. We'll finish up by 4pm.
