Computer to do the course on. A tablet of smartphone will not work.
Compass and Map.
Students will need a Mountaineers approved compass with adjustable declination.
Every student must have their own compass; sharing won't work in our class structure.
Link to recommended compasses can be found in the Navigation Course Materials tab.
Students will also need the USGS Baring Map to complete the online portion of the course. You may purchase this map from the Mountaineers bookstore or download and print it yourself.
