This is a really nice hike that I have done once before. It is easy overall but we will be walking on sand mostly and that can be bothersome to some (just warning you) . We should have time to eat lunch at the lighthouse and explore the area for up to an hour. I suspect that we will also have time to just enjoy exploring the beach on our way out and back too. So let's have some fun walking to the historic Dungeness Spit Lighthouse and back!
The starting time must be so we can get to the Dungeness Spit lighthouse area little before low tide which is at 1:15pm according to the tide charts now (on 2/10/2026). So my best estimate for approximately 2 miles per hour hike and a 6.5 mile hike to get to the lighthouse around 12:45pm is the following: WE MUST MEET around 9am to start the hike no later than 9:30am.
