This trail is an old Forest Service road that ends up as a trail. Campground is spacious, but not 'flat', (rolly area). Campground next to a stream for water. No 'facilities'. We might take a hike further up the trail after tents set up (?).
We will meet at the bus parking lot at Tacoma Community College, corner of S 19th and S Pearl (entrance on S 19th), at 8:00 AM. We will arrange car pools and depart when ready. Northwest Forest Service parking permit required. Also accepted is an America the Beautiful federal entrance pass. Driving time approximately 1 hour 45 minutes (or so). Parking somewhat limited at trailhead.
