Day Hike - Summerland

**Now Open to All Members** Enjoy a glorious day outdoors and see why this favorite spot on Mt. Rainier is called Summerland. The trail starts in a beautiful forest then quickly switches back and forth along Fryingpan Creek. After crossing Fryingpan creek the trail catches a glimpse of Rainier before entering the meadow and the grand finale view of Rainier.

All participants will meet and greet at US Forest Service Ranger Station, 450 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022 at 6:30 am. After introductions, we will gear shift to carpools then caravan to the TH. TH has limited parking and spotty cell service.

Carpool Information: Riders are requested to reimburse driver(s) at $0.18 mile. For this trip that would be about 82 miles RT or $15.00 for roundtrip per vehicle from Enumclaw to the Summerland TH.

Restroom: Located just beyond gate entrance or back at Enumclaw at the Safeway.

***Mt. Rainier Annual or Interagency America the Beautiful or Senior National Park pass required for each vehicle entering through gate.

Trip will initially open to Tacoma Branch Conditioning Hiking Students.  Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers, based on availability, 7-10 days prior to date of the hike.
