Glacier Lecture 1: Here you will be introduced to the module, learn what you gear you need for a glacier/alpine climb, review snow camping, study trip planning details, learn about different kinds of snow anchors, and learn glacier travel methods.

Introduction to the module
Glacier/alpine travel gear (short demo)
Snow camping: shelter, clothing, food, safety
Trip plans/ time and navigation plans 
Snow anchors, rigging and belaying
Winter/inclement weather navigation (emphasis on white-out navigation methods)
Weather decisions (cloud formations, barometer readings and changes)
Managing crevasse crossings
