Beta and Brews: Becca Polglase will be presenting on Zion Canyoneering for Climbers. Zion is the perfect place to go for climbers interested in trying out canyoneering without paying for a guide or a class. Many of the skills transfer, and many Zion canyons are bolted. Learn about navigating the permit system, canyon ethics, and how to beat the crowds in the nation's most crowded national park, as well as beta on 7 classic canyons: Keyhole, Pine Creek, Subway, Birch Hollow, Echo, Mystery and Spry. We'll also discuss which climbing skills transfer - and which don't - and how to avoid common climber mistakes in canyons.
