Seattle MAC - Kick-Off Trip - Leavenworth

The Leavenworth Kick-Off trip is MAC's first trip of the year where prospective new members can try out some rock climbing, meet current members, and see if MAC is a good fit for them. This trip is free and open to the interested public.

  • *Varies*, Crag Rock Climb, Strenuous 3, Technical 2
  • Easy

Since this trip is open to non-members, register directly here on this page. For all other MAC registration, use the MAC course page. This trip is free and open to the public per the results of the MAC lottery.

Every year, MAC hosts a Kick-Off Trip which serves as a try-out for prospective new members and a chance for all returning members to get reacquainted with one another over a weekend of rock climbing and hiking. We will have a couple groups each day going out to various crags and hikes, camping  in Leavenworth at the Chatter Creek Group Site with a communal meal, all led by the senior MAC students or MAC leaders as they are known within the club and adult chaperones/Mountaineers staff.

This trip is community focused and should give anyone new to MAC a good idea of what our culture is like. Interested members need not pay/commit to the club before attending this trip, and will be invited to make their decision to join or not after this trip.
