Summer Camp - Ropes and Rocks Week 1

A fun-filled camp week featuring lots of climbing and outdoor adventure!

Ready to climb? Ready to swim, learn outdoor skills, and hike? Most importantly...are you ready to ROCK? Then this is the week of camp is for you!

Campers ages 6-12 are invited to join The Mountaineers for a week packed with traditional camp games, songs and a heavy dose of outdoor adventure. Each week consists of rock climbing, outdoor skills, crafts, and swimming. Additionally, every week has a field trip  and/or outdoor adventures relating to the given theme.

During Ropes and Rocks week, campers will have the opportunity to try a variety of climbing techniques including bouldering and top roping. Older campers will take a field trip to climb outside at Exit 38 on Wednesday. It'll be a great way to put together all the climbing skills they learn during the week. Younger campers  will take a field trip to Flaming Geyser State Park on Thursday. 

LOGISTICS:

  • Registration Lottery opens in January 
  • Open enrollment begins February 1
  • Drop off: 8:45 - 9:00
  • Pick up: 3:45 - 4:00
  • AM extended care starts at 7:45am (Tuesday-Friday)
  • PM extended care runs until 5:30pm (Monday-Thursday)
  • Due to low enrollment, the overnight has been cancelled
  • Family Friday (optional): Friday 3:00 - 4:00
  • *Please note: all outdoor activities are weather and condition dependent*

Scholarships are available for summer camp. We recommend applying for a scholarship at least two weeks before you plan on enrolling.
