Seattle Pathfinders Camping & Climbing Trip - Mount Erie

Join us for a weekend of car camping and climbing around Mt. Erie!

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Sunday (Apr 10) by 8PM: Meet at Deception Pass Cranberry Lake Group Site
  • Tuesday by 4PM: Head home from pod activity (possibly earlier)

The Pathfinders will spend the weekend car camping and climbing at Mt. Erie!

  • Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email Carl to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.

CLIMBING GEAR CHECKOUT:

  • 4/7, 5-8pm (Explorers climb night, approach Goodman C)
  • 4/9, 3-4pm (After Parent Skills Series workshop or during if you are attending)

CLIMBING GEAR RETURN:

  • Give personal gear to Tom, Tom to inventory and return on-site (may change if group becomes larger)

Clothes: Pack for warm and potentially wet conditions during the day

  • Clothes for adventuring during the day (layers)
    • Don't forget rain gear!
    • Clothes for at camp in the evening (slightly warmer because it’ll cool down in the evening)
  • Sun Protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun shirt, etc.
  • Day pack
  • Hiking Boots
  • Camp Shoes (optional) 

Camping items:

  • Personal mess kit including: plate/bowl, utensils, cup
  • Camp chair
  • Tent (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Sleeping bag/pad (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Pillow (we’re car camping; might as well be comfy!)
  • Toiletries (restrooms available at campsite)
  • Headlamp/flashlight with extra batteries
  • Face mask(s)
  • Hand Sanitizer

Food for yourself/family (Or group meals): 

    • Breakfast: (x1)
    • Lunch: (x2)
    • Dinner: (x1)
    • Snacks: enough for both Saturday and Sunday
  • Water: 2 liters per person per day minimum
