Prerequisites: Students need to have experience moving over snow with snowshoes, microspikes, and/or crampons and with winter recreation. Students should know how to self arrest using an ice axe.

All cars will meet at the French Cabin Creek Sno-Park by 7:30am and start hiking at 8.

Carpool signup. If you plan on driving, please offer open seats to other students.

Getting There: Take Exit 80 off of I-90 E and drive north on Bullfrog Road. Bear left onto SR-903 (Salmon La Sac Road) at the second round-about and drive through Roslyn.

Note: There are two traffic circles. The first one is at the entrance to Suncadia, and you will want to "go straight", which is the first exit off the traffic circle. The second one is at the junction with highway 903, by the Shell gas station. You will want the "bear left" onto 903. The first exit puts you on 903 heading the wrong way. Take the second exit, toward Roslyn.

Continue 12 miles to the Sno-Park just past the Cle Elum River Campground (2,300 ft).

A Sno-Park permit is required for parking. Please check the Salmon La Sac Sno-Park page for up-to-date information about parking requirements.
