Seattle MAC Trip TBD - West Granite
West Granite is an unnamed peak 5,566 feet tall and a half mile northwest of Granite Mountain. There are several scramble routes up West Granite, leaving from the Granite Mountain trailhead or from the Talapus Lake trailhead.

All cars will meet at the Granite Mountain Trailhead by 7:45am and start hiking at 8.

Required Equipment
- Snowshoes
- Leather hiking boots for snow.
- Gaiters
- Microspikes
- Hiking poles
- Layers to be comfortable in snow and temperatures around 30 degrees
- 3 pairs of gloves/mittens and a warm hat
- Strong sunglasses (goggles if you have them)
- Sunscreen
- Chemical hand warmers
- Lunch, snacks, and 2 liters of liquid
- a thermos of hot tea or soup is optimal
- They should bring any avy gear they own and know how to operate (shovel, probe, and beacon).
