Seattle Junior MAC Hike - Lake Lillian, Rampart & Lila Lakes

Meet at 9:00 AM in the Kendall Peak Lakes Trailhead/Lake Mardee parking lot on the north side of I-90 at Exit 54 (Hyak/Gold Creek)  We can consolidate cars and travel together up Forest Service Rd 4832 ("Frontage Road") and then the branch 4832-136 to the trailhead for the backdoor access to Lakes Laura and Lillian.  If the conditions and energy are right, it's only 3.5 miles, but >2000 foot elevation to the beautiful Rampart Ridge Lakes and the season may still have some bautiful colors remaining.  If there has been early snow, making the ascent dicey, we will journey to the Kendall Peaks Lakes with the goal to scramble up to the elusive third lake. 

Jr. MACers will spend the day hiking near Snoqualmie Pass during the shoulder season

• Trip Sheet: Trip Sheet will be posted within the 2 weeks prior to the trip.
• Parking: NW Forest Pass

• Road Conditions: AWD and/or higher clearance vehicle recommended.  Path is narrow with vegetation, so precious paint may want to stay at home
• Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email Tom Robey to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.
• Land Acknowledgement: We will be recreating on the lands/waters of the Pacific Northwest Indian Tribes, including the Yakama, who live here and steward these lands and waters as they have since time immemorial. The Seattle Mountaineers Youth Clubs encourage you to recreate mindfully and respectfully on our upcoming trip to these native lands.
