Winter Camping Course is designed for Mountaineers members who want to make the most of winter by knowing how to comfortably camp overnight in the snow.

Students learn about appropriate gear, how to stay warm and dry, and how to identify safe campsites. On the field trip we focus on setting up tent campsites, and will have time to explore a variety individual bivouacs / emergency shelters. And to have fun doing it!

Students meet at the Seattle Program Center Cascade room on February 4th, 2026 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
