Course Overview: The Coastal Kayak Surf Zone course is designed to teach paddlers the necessary skills to safely launch and land a kayak in the surf. Conditions should include small waves height less than 3 ft, ideally with spilling surf on a gently sloping beach clear of obstacles and swimmers. Winds should not exceed 15 knots.

Once students become comfortable with launching and landing without surfing, they can start to learn how to surf. 

Meet on the beach, time TBA depending on conditions. Check with leader Friday night,

Boat, PFD, paddle. No need for pump/float and extra bits on your deck (Neptune will wash them away).

Helmet is required, let us know if you need to borrow one, but a bike helmet will work too.
