The Saturday session runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be prepared to get wet and have fun! You can check the schedule in the "Course Materials tab"; BSKS Open Water Syllabus.pdf.  This and other course materials are in the Basic Sea Kayaking Course main page.  

The Sunday session will also be a full day.  Start times and locations will be communicated at the end of Saturday's session.  

You will put into action and expand on what the classroom material introduced.  The first day you will learn the kayaking fundamentals and strokes. The second day will be a  saltwater paddle paddling skills and countering the effects of wind and waves on boat behavior

Deception Pass and surrounding area depending on wind,

First day: meet at 8:00 AM to begin setting up equipment.
Instructors: Please aim to be at the meeting place at 7:30 AM

Second day:  Meeting time and place will be decided by each group leader.
