This is an optional instructor review for those who have committed to leading or assistant leading INW field trips.
Seminar Objectives
- Review Apps used in INW course. Review best practices for use in the field and strategies for instructing new learners
- Discuss how your own styles of learning/communicating impacts how you lead naturalists trips
- Explore teaching techniques for fostering curiosity, engagement, and connection among participants.
- Explore techniques for leading trips with different level learners
Format: brief power point (20-30 minutes) and then we will be utilizing breakout rooms and scenarios to facilitate discussion (30 minutes). We will NOT be reviewing identification of specific plants, tree etc. If you would like to review identification, please sign up for one of the on-trail instructor reviews.
Monday March 30, 2026 7pm-8pm on zoom
Zoom link will be sent in confirmation email. Meeting will be recorded however there will be value in active participation with other members.
