This hike will take us one some quieter trails up to the tops of both West Tiger 1 & 2. The route will start on the Highpoint Trail and then take Dwights Way and the Bootleg Trails to the top of Tiger 1 where we will have a short snack break. We will then go over to Tiger 2 and descend via the K3 and Tiger Mountain Trails back to the Highpoint Trail. The trail may still have some downed trees from the March snow and has a few stream crossings.
We will meet at High Point trail, just beyond the gate (see below). Please be ready to hike at 8:00 a.m.
Directions to Trailhead: Heading east on I-90, take Exit 20 (High Point). At the end of the exit turn right. Just a few yards south of I-90, note a large, white gate on your left across SE 79th Street, signed "Road Closed." Your hike will begin behind that gate so you need to look for roadside parking immediately (i.e., do NOT continue on to the usual parking lot 0.8 miles west.) A Discover Pass is required here. There are no facilities.
Here are the trailhead coordinates: 47.53039, -121.97946
