This is a through hike of Rattlesnake Mountain, starting at the north trailhead and hiking to the south trailhead near Rattlesnake Lake. We will ascend to the Grand Prospect viewpoint and then continue south along the ridge of Rattlesnake Mt. before descending past the three Rattlesnake Ledges. We probably won't see many other hikers between Grand Prospect and the popular first Ledge. The traverse is about 10.5 miles (vs. the July target of 12-14 miles), so we will add a bit more mileage as needed along the Palouse to Cascades Trail once we finish the traverse. There will be an optional post-hike meetup for food and drink at South Fork in North Bend.
We will meet at 700am at the Rattlesnake Lake Trailhead and then car shuttle to the Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead, where we will start this through hike.
