Most all of the downfall has been cleared and there are only small patches of snow on the section of trail between the junction to Thompson Lake and Granite Lake.  There are a couple of significant creek crossings on this section that require multiple hops along rocks or logs to stay dry. I recommend boots and trekking poles to best handle all the stream crossings.   See trip report:

Meet at Granite Creek Trailhead parking area at 8:00am; we will start hiking by 8:15am.   There is a large parking lot with (surprisingly nice) vault toilets.   Discover Pass required.
