CHS 2 Hike - Black Canyon (Umtanum Ridge)

CHS2 hike led at 2.0 mph. The trail goes through a canyon of black basalt slopes up to a view point and then loops around Umtanum Ridge and back down the canyon.

This is a good hike for wildflowers and birds in the spring. There is a nice view from  Umtanum Ridge where we will have lunch (not provided). In eastern Washington we increase the odds for a sunny day. It may be hot.
