Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series
CHS 1 Hike - Squak Mountain: Bullitt Fireplace Access
CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph) This hike is a bit of nostalgia for me. The Fireplace Trail was one of the first hikes I did after moving to the Pacific Northwest, and it remains one of those classic local conditioning routes. The steady climb makes for a great workout, and the trail ends at a quirky little fireplace tucked in the woods, a fun and memorable landmark that gives the trail its name.
