Climb a steep uphill (most of the elevation on this hike is in the first 1.7 miles!) then explore rolling trails to find two rustic lakes in the Pine Lake Wildlife Area. We'll head to Pine Lake first, and then backtrack and take a side trail to loop around Cedar Lake. Both lakes have campsites where we could take a break depending on whether they are occupied and/or how the group is feeling. Then we'll head back down the steep incline to the cars.
Meet at the Pine and Cedar Lakes trailhead at 7:30am (map of Trailhead location) to avoid Saturday traffic on the way to the Bellingham area. Boots on trail at 7:45am.
