THIS HIKE IS TO HIGH PASS CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.75-2.25 mph)

  • Moderate
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 13.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft

8:30 AM Tomyhoi Lake/Yellow Aster Butte Trailhead

High Pass is not in the club database, but the stats for nearby Hannegan Peak should be close. This is a scenic hike to the shoulder of Mt. Larrabee with a view of the Skagit and Nooksack Ranges: Mt. Baker, the Pleiades, Winchester  Mtn. and more.

The leader's are planning to camp nearby. Let us know if you want to join us, we are planning to hike on Sunday too. Hikers who do not want to camp may carpool to the trail head - Yellow Aster Butte NOT  Twin Lakes.

The road past Yellow Aster Butte is not maintained and not considered passable for all vehicles. We are planning to hike the road. If we do have hikers with high clearance vehicles willing to drive, we will have no problem making up the miles saved on nearby trails.
