Enjoy sweeping views of the river, fields of wildflowers, and an abundance of peregrine falcon sightings along this gentle yet stunning trail atop the bluffs on the Washington side of the river. It hugs the river part of the way, offering several viewpoints for photos and falcon spotting, before turning into rolling hills and fields of wildflowers. We will have a hearty snack at our turnaround point, which is a roomy viewpoint of the river with stone benches. If the timing is right, we'll be enjoying our break surrounded by blooming larkspur.
Plan to have boots on ready to hit the trail at 8:00AM. For those who are participating in the campout weekend, carpooling instructions from the Cascade Locks Motel will be included in the Hello Hiker email.
