About the Series

Conditioning for multi-day backcountry travel  presents unique challenges when, instead of a rest day, you have to get up and do it all again tomorrow.  This the second of a two-part series designed for anyone involved in multi-day pack- carrying sports, including backpacking, trekking, scrambling, and technical climbing.

The series includes:

  • Part 1: Designing a Personal Training Program (on May 7)
  • Part 2: Self-Evaluation Techniques and Movement Drills (this one)

About This Seminar (Part 2 of the Series)

In this seminar, Part 2 of the series, you will participate in a wide variety of modern movement drills based in neuroscience. The goals will be to learn self-evaluation techniques that can be used to evaluate every component of your training, and to find several drills that will enhance the rest of your training program.

These will include vision drills, vestibular (balance) stimulation, sensory stimulation, fine-tuned motor movements, and isometrics.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement in all directions. Shoes that slip on and off are a plus but not essential.
