Conditioning hike open to all Basic Climbing students and grads

Pack weight and mountaineering boots are optional. Dress as appropriate for the weather.

Meet at the High Point Trailhead at 5pm and be ready to go at 5:15pm.  We will hike up at your own pace, but we will travel together as a group coming back down. Don't forget micro-spikes and headlamp with fresh batteries.

The primary goal for the hike is to get a check on fitness and set expectations for the minimum fitness requirements for successful trips with the Basic Alpine Course.

In addition to your 10 Essentials, you'll need microspikes, along with a headlamp and extra batteries.   Weighted packs and mountaineering boots are optional, but a good idea to help you gauge your fitness and break in your boots.
