Carpools can be arranged in the week before the trip.

The primary goal for the hike is to get a baseline on fitness and set expectations for the minimum fitness requirements for successful trips with the Basic Alpine Course.

A secondary goal will be a gear discussion of what you need to take on a glacier climb. Leader(s) will pack as though this is a one day glacier climb and we will go through what they bring and why.

Pack weight and mountaineering boots are optional. Dress as appropriate for the weather as this hike will go regardless of the weather.
