Canyoning Skills Practice Session - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

This practice session is for Mountaineers course graduates only.

  • Casual

Seattle Program Center - Goodman B/C - 4pm-8pm

COVID-19 Guidelines: At this time we are planning on this being an indoor practice session with doors open for ventilation, so please dress appropriately. We will also do our best to organize practice stations so that participants are as evenly spread out as possible to maximize social distancing.

Our Go/No-Go Criteria: COVID-19 cases are showing a steady decline in the Puget Sound region at this time.  We will continue to monitor virus metrics up until the event.

If that’s not exciting enough, we’re also raffling off a mystery canyon item and you get to hang out with awesome people!

Skills Focus:

  1. Vertical Movement: Ascending, Conversions, Passing Knots
  2. Rigging: EMO, MMO, Unlinked Anchors
  3. Indirect Rope Cutting
  4. Passing & Rigging Rebelays

Lunch Happy Hour  Got some free time before 4pm? Come join us at the Magnuson Brewery at 2pm for drinks and social time. The event organizers will need to leave at 3pm to begin rigging for the practice, but others can feel free to stick around until the practice starts around 4pm.
