Rock Field Trip Make-up - Sam Hill (Leavenworth)

Field trip: Alpine Scrambling Course

Rock Field Trip Make-up - Sam Hill (Leavenworth)

The Sam Hill Area, located SW of Leavenworth at the mouth of Icicle Canyon and administered by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT), is an ideal location in which to practice basic rock scrambling skills. There are views of Snow Creek Wall and the Sleeping Lady, and the terrain is open and varied. Due to its short distance and elevation gain, and the lack of a real summit, this trip does NOT count as a Rock Scramble.
