CANCELED - MAY 6 ADVENTURE SPEAKER SERIES IS CANCELLED. THE PROGRAM WILL BE RESCHEDULED IN THE 2020/2021 ADVENTURE SPEAKER SERIES

Join Olympia photographer Lou MacMillan on a photographic journey from Ushuaia, Argentina to the South Shetland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula. In December 2018, Lou traveled with 70 other international photographers to photograph the unique wildlife, stunning landscapes, and massive icebergs of the “White South.” He will share thoughts, a 25-minute slide show, travel information, photo tips, and copies of his book of Antarctic photos, “Wilderness of Ice.”

Join the Olympia Mountaineers for our evening socials, featuring speakers guaranteed to inspire your next adventure. The events occur on the first Wednesday of the month, October through May (excluding November) at the Friends Meeting House.
Doors open at 5:30pm, and our potluck dinner starts promptly at 6pm. Bring a dish to share, as well as a plate and flatware. Or skip the potluck, grab a hot drink, check out our Mountaineers library and the audiovisual presentation or pick up branch classes and events information. Announcements are at 6:45pm, and our Adventure Speaker presentations start at 7pm, followed by a Q&A.
