Youth Program

Summer Camp - Teen Overnight @ Rainier - Olympia

Join us for another fun overnight camp at Mt. Rainier National Park! This week consists of 4 days / 3 nights of hiking, camping, fun and games!

For teens ages 13-17, come join us for a fun 4 day/ 3 nights camping adventure at our Mountaineers property near Mt. Rainier! We will be traveling to Mt Rainier and camping out under the summer sky near the Carbon River.  This camp includes transportation, food, and skills lessons up on the mountain.

Campers arrive at the Rose Garden in Priest Point Park on Tuenesday morning at 9am. After some fun get to know you games, we will prep and pack the gear and  be on our way to Rainier. Once camp is set up we will have time to explore the Carbon River before dinner. Our evening will be filled with stargazing, riddles and games, and desserts around the campfire.

Wednesday and Thursday will be all about exploring and getting great views of Mt. Rainier on some awesome day hikes! Hikes may include  Spray Falls & Spray Park, Eunice Lake, Tolmie Peak Lookout, Summit Lake, or Bearhead Mountain. We will split into younger and older groups, so we can go at an appropriate pace. We’ll cap off our hikes with some wading in Mowich Lake before we head back to camp for a hearty meal.

Friday begins with a big breakfast, camp cleanup, and one short final hike up the Carbon River before we head back to the Olympia.  Pick up is at the Rose Garden at 4pm.  We are so excited to share this adventure with you!

We would love to have 2 -3 parent chaperones/drivers for this camp. Please email beckyn@mountaineers.org if interested!
