Youth Program

Summer Day Camp - Wilderness Adventures

A fun-filled Day Camp for campers ages 8-12

Campers ages 8-12 can join us for an exciting week filled with fun and adventures! Kids will have a chance to get outside and adventure in the local parks while having a chance to learn about  maps, outdoor cooking, fire safety, wilderness first aid, and of course the favorite - shelter building!

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm each day
  • Day Camp is for kids age 8-12. Kids may be divided into different counselor groups based on age.

Where does Camp start and end each day?

Camp runs Monday - Friday: Drop-off and pick-up at Olympia Friends Meeting House (3201 Boston Harbor Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506).

What does a typical day at Camp look like?

Each day is filled with fun curriculum to teach your camper how to be safe while exploring outdoors. On the first day of camp, we spend the morning getting to know our campers, playing games, jumping into outdoor skills, and having fun! Throughout the week your camper will explore a variety of local parks and learn different types of curriculum (first aid, map and compass, rope skills, using the 10 essentials, shelters, and more). On field trip days, campers will ride in our van to local areas. A more detailed schedule will be sent to registered families prior to camp.

LOGISTICS:

  • Registration opens February 1
  • Drop off: 9am each morning
  • Pick up: 4pm each afternoon
  • Please note: all outdoor activities are weather and condition dependent.
