Each week we will meet at the Priest Point Park Rose Garden Shelter and take The Mountaineers van to somewhere local where we can hike, explore the nearby beach, and learn a variety of outdoor skills including navigation, outdoor cooking, Leave No Trace, and much more. Here is the planned destination schedule:

Nov 12: Mushroom Exploring at Priest Point Park

Nov 19: Salmon Viewing at William Cannon Trail

Dec 3: Tolmie State Park beach wander

Dec 10: Holiday greens arrangements and decor making at Priest Point Park

Dec 17: Celebration hike at Priest Point Park

The intent of this group is to get kids involved in in-person, outdoor activities in a safe manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also providing a few hours of childcare for parents during the week. Groups will consist of a maximum of 10 kids and 1-2 staff and volunteers.

All activities will be outdoors so please dress accordingly.
