Youth Program

After School Adventure Camp

This is a weekly camp for kiddos ages 8-11 that  will meet for 7 sessions on Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 through the end of October. We will enjoy outdoor hikes, beach explorations, and learning outdoor skills. This is a great opportunity for  youth to learn skills and spend time outside with new friends.

After-School Adventure Club is a small group of youth ages 8-11 that meets one Thursday afternoons from 3:00-5:00. Each week we will meet at the Rose Garden Shelter at Priest Point Park, and will use The Mountaineers van to carpool to nearby outdoor spaces where we will enjoy an outdoor local adventures such as hiking at Priest Point Park, exploring the nearby beach of Burfoot park, all while learning a variety of outdoor skills including navigation, outdoor cooking, Leave No Trace, and much more.

The intent of this group is to get kids involved in in-person, outdoor activities in a safe manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also providing a few hours of childcare for parents during the week. Groups will consist of a maximum of 8 kids and 1-2 staff and volunteers.

All activities will be outdoors unless the weather pushes us inside, which at that point masks must be worn at all times. Masks will also be required while in the van.
