Instructor
Jeff Ward is an AMGA and IFMGA-certified Mountain Guide and co-owner of North Cascades Mountain Guides. He has been guiding professionally since 1995 and is an AMGA instructor and examiner, helping train and assess future mountain guides. He brings decades of experience in alpine, rock, and ski guiding, with a strong focus on technical systems and instruction.
Clinic Objectives
Mechanical advantage systems and Z-pulley refinement
Drop end rescue
Ascending the rope with traction devices
Additional techniques and problem solving as time and conditions allow
Format
This is a hands-on, field-based clinic with an emphasis on repetition and refinement. Participants should expect to be actively engaged throughout the day.
