Snowshoe Trek and Lunch (L) - Meany Lodge
Snowshoe from Crystal Springs Sno-Park to Meany Lodge for a hot lunch at the lodge on Saturdays this winter. If you are new to snowshoeing, be warned that while this is marked as a beginner level because it requires little technical skill, the trek is moderate in difficulty because you will snowshoe over seven miles with 1000 feet cumulative elevation gain round-trip.

We depart at 8:30 AM from the Crystal Springs Sno-park, elevation 2450 feet. So arrive around 8:00 AM to allow enough time to use the sani-can, load your pack, and put on snowshoes. You will need a one day sno-park pass beforehand which costs $25. If you have a season pass you will also need a Special Groomed Sticker.
More information will be sent out a week before.
Required Equipment
Bring your own snowshoes. Snowshoeing will work best in tall, waterproof, rigid hiking or mountaineering boots.
